Anime
Anime is the abbreviation of the word Animation. The Free Dictionary (http://thefreedictionary.com) defines the term Animation as, "1. The act, process, or result of imparting life, interest, spirit, motion, or activity". Animes therefore are 'living pictures', the drawings are brought to life through the act of animation, and it can easliy be imagined that the characters are alive and have feelings and dreams! Just like us! Traditionally Animes are drawn and colored by hand. Modern Animes are being created with the aid of computers. The artist would use the computers processing power to aid in the creation of the characters and have the computer color the character and backgrounds, with all the correct lighting and shadows, giving an almost life like effect. Computer animation is now commonly shown on video and TV. An example of computer animation is Final Fantasy. Anime is a form
of fictitious story telling that doesn't use real actors (with
exception to voice-overs) to act the parts, but instead use animated drawings as the cast.
Animes are set to a futuristic
theme, often depicting sex and violence. Created for TV, DVD, VHS and
most recently as full length motion pictures, some Anime TV series
run as long normal TV programming in length.
Samurai X

What does PVC mean in 'PVC Anime Figurines' (Figures/Statues)? |
The Free Dictionary (http://thefreedictionary.com) defines PVC as "A synthetic resin, composed of repeating units of vinyl chloride (C2H3Cl). Polyvinyl chloride is very versatile and is used in a wide variety of products, including rainwear, garden hoses, audio discs, and floor tiles". This same PVC plastic is used to create the Anime Figurines (Figures/Statues) to give them strength and some flexability. |
